Our Story
Under the leadership of the Discalced Carmelite Friars, Little Flower School has educated generations of San Antonio area children for almost 100 years, providing quality Catholic education and spiritual formation in the Carmelite charism. Friars and faculty guide our students to recognize God’s merciful love, inspired by the message of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower.
Students:
- Receive an innovative learning experience providing a deeper development of their social and emotional needs.
- Learn to to communicate their learning experience through the contemplative writing process.
- Are prepared to excel in their continuing education.
This year, our Little Flower Eagle family has grown to 116 students! Our wonderful staff has worked diligently over the summer to adequately meet the needs of our students. Now we need your support to ensure our students continue to encounter the sun of God’s love that shines joyfully on each of them!
We are counting on you to help us meet our students' physical and mental well-being needs. One way we wish to achieve this is by upgrading and enhancing our playground and outdoor spaces. Outdoor recreation is known to not only promote physical activity and improve cardiovascular health, but also to foster social connections and reduce stress and anxiety. Our aim this year is to improve our outdoor space with a new playground equipment, a new awning for shade, new toys and sporting equipment, social-centered outdoor furniture, and more!

Class fundraising
To help make this fundraising period a fun time for our students, we have incentives on the line for the classes that raise the most money!
To designate your gift to a specific class:
1. Enter Little Flower School’s profile on thebiggivesa.org
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the section titled Fundraisers
3. Click on the class you’d like to attribute your gift
4. Once directed to that class’ page, click on the Donate button
Match Minutes
There are several 60-second windows throughout the Big Give fundraising period where your gift is eligible to be matched by a Big Give sponsor. These are called Match Minutes.
Set your alarms!!!
Match Minutes:
Wednesday, September 17: 6:12pm, 7:12pm, & 8:12pm
Thursday, September 18: 10:12am, 12:12pm, 1:15pm, 2:12pm, 3:12pm, 4:12pm, 5:12pm
For your gift to be eligible:
- Your gift must be submitted within the 60-second window
- Your gift will be matched up to $100
* Match Minutes are available to all organizations participating in the Big Give until $10,000 worth of donations are made. Act fast to ensure your gift gets matched!
*Pro Tip: Start the process to make your gift a few minutes before the Match Minute begins. This will give you time to enter your payment card and contact information. Proceed to the next screen, then watch your clock and wait until the Match Minute begins to hit Submit.
